With face painting, a cake stall and a meal deal organised by the school P and C on offer, the school managed to collect $1612 from generous members of the Pacific Palms, Smiths Lake and Coomba Park communities.
A number of local businesses also supported the cause by placing donation boxes in their shops.
With one of the schools' CARE philosophies being to 'care for the environment', staff and students were very pleased to raise money for FAWNA's Food for Wildlife stations.
These are collection points for the community to pick up bird seed and pellets to feed native animals in the area.
They were also thrilled to help Taree-based organisation, Koalas in Care, who are working to provide medical treatment and rehabilitation to koalas after the devastating loss of habitat during the recent bushfire crisis.
