At time of publish, the service clubs had raised about $145,000 with the Rotary Club's projects manager Maurie Stack revealing another substantial donation is on the way.
A Muslim community in Sydney has raised between $10,000 and $15,000 for bushfire victims in the Mid Coast area.
They plan to hand out the funds personally as a sign of solidarity for their fellow Australians.
Mr Stack has suggested to the group that the donation can be added to the Rotary fund and transferred to Eftpos cards.
These would be printed with the name 'Rotary' as well as the name of their community.
The Rotary club has raised more than $78,000 towards the total. This includes a $15,000 fund through entrepreneur Dick Smith and a $20,000 donation by a Taree business couple.
A $5000 pledge from the Rotary Club of Castle Hill is expected to be received imminently.
Mr Stack is also proud of his eight-year-old grandson Julian, who donated $25 to the cause. This was the youngster's entire winnings from the recent Melbourne Cup.

The list of people who have lost their homes continues to increase, according to Mr Stack.
"Insurance has become very expensive in many regional areas and a lot of people could not afford to be insured," Mr Stack said.
"One man who lost his home had lost his wife last year and she did the book work including paying insurance premiums - he finds himself uninsured."
Just after 10am this morning, the Taree Lions Club's Go Fund Me account ticked over $60,000.
The club has also put the callout to sporting, church and community groups to assist in the sorting of donated goods.
It's hoped groups of between three and six people will assist the club in two hour shifts.
It's expected assistance will be needed for the rest of the week.
