The rescue helicopter transported a 21-year-old man to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The man suffered minor injuries in the accident.
He was transported as a precautionary measure after being trapped in the wreckage for a substantial amount of time before being released.
EARLIER:
A truck has rolled on the Pacific Highway at Boolambayte, about five kilometres north of Bulahdelah.
A man, believed to be in his 20s, is trapped by compression inside the vehicle.
One southbound and one northbound lane of the highway will be closed for a short time while the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attends to the scene.
The medical crew attached to the helicopter service has been dropped to the scene.
The aircraft remains at Bulahdelah Showground awaiting further instructions.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and allow extra travel time.
