I am in disbelief that some people think that widening and rebuilding a better bridge will somehow help the flow of traffic each end of the bridge into Forster and Tuncurry. (Letter: Has Forster-Tuncurry been forgotten?)

Widening a bridge is not going to help with the traffic flow on either side of the bridge. Where's all the traffic going to go off each side after crossing on a wider bridge?
I say when the twin towns are full they are full, want to go to visit or holiday here, have patience and enjoy the view whilst waiting to cross the water.
No patience these days. Bigger, Better, More is all that matters! Not.
Even putting more parking on each side of the bridge will not help the flow of traffic.
I say find another holiday destination if you have no patience and wish to take in the beauty of the water as crossing the bridge in this beautiful piece of paradise.
So my suggestion is love it or leave it, unless you want it to turn into a cluttered jigsaw puzzle.
People today want more than is able to be produced and is practicable.
There is no way a new bridge will help them get over the other side quicker. Take a boat!
Loved the old days when my grandparents back in the '70s lived in Bent Street, Tuncurry.
