In early August, Hendrix McDonagh, Camden, Dylan and Maxim Ceccato, travelled to the two-day-event in Grafton; they all played a confident and consistent game against their opponents, who came from throughout the north east region.
While the older boys' competition in the under 12 and under 14 age groups proved too strong, 10-year-olds Hendrix and Maxim felt comfortable in their matches and brought home several wins.
As a result of their performance they advanced to the next level, the Champions of Champions tournament in Inverell on August 28-29.
Both boys won two matches in their respective pool and finished 11th and 12th in a strong field of competitors from the north east and north west region.
The top eight players will go on to compete for the State titles later this year.
After an intense tournament weekend both Maxim and Hendrix travelled on to Sydney Olympic Park where they played the next day with their Forster Public School team in the State semifinals securing third place in the State.
Another remarkable achievement for the youngsters.
