The 23-year-old motor cross rider sustained serious injuries following the accident at Nerong.
Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle.
Earlier this afternoon the rescue helicopter transported a 46-year-old man to Newcastle following a trail bike accident in bushland at Purfleet, south of Taree.
The man was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before he was flown to John Hunter suffering from serious arm and shoulder injuries.
