There are three campuses. At Tuncurry, there are two campuses one for Years 7-10 and the other for Years 11-12. Forster Campus caters for Years 7-10.

There are extensive curriculum offerings, Statewide competitions, College Musical/MADD, Koori Groups, Graffiti Busters, volunteering, work experience, STEM, post-school pathways, as well as parent-teacher-student barbeques.

Jackie and Michael Amato's daughter has been a student at Great Lakes College for the past five years.
"Our experience of the College is one of a special place, an educational environment where many excellent academic, athletic and extracurricular opportunities exist and are nurtured.
"Some of these extensive opportunities have been competing in the Combined High Schools Championship Tennis Team, Premier's Debating Challenge, Taree and District Eisteddfod with the College Band, Debating Team and Drama Class as well as performing in College productions of MADD and Shine On Concerts.
