Now in its 21st year, the contest will attract competitors from as far afield as Japan, plus a host of Mid North Coast talent, including reigning Australian women's champion Millie Chalker.
Competitors will range in age from 11-year-old Jakob Gray right up to a youthful 60-year-old.
The event is mobile and will take place wherever the waves are best, with Tuncurry Beach, One Mile Beach, Boomerang Beach or Blueys Beach likely to provide suitable conditions.
First started in 1989 following the death of 14-year-old bodyboarding talent Jeff Wilcox, the event has grown to be one of the most prestigious competitions in the sport.
Organiser Rhonda Chalker described it as both a competition and a celebration.
"From day one this memorial set out to showcase the life and enthusiasm for the water and friendly competition that Jeff had, and it succeeded in abundance," she said.
Previous winners include former world champions Ben Player and Damien King.

Spectators are encouraged to come along and support this fabulous event.
