Cassie channelled her creative skills into cooking for more than 10 years as a qualified chef with a Diploma in Hospitality.
However, Cassie's talents extended far beyond whipping up a storm in the kitchen.
Cassie has a gift which reaches into a world of energy healing, mediumship and astrology.
"I cannot explain this, but it does exist. I have always been this way," Cassie said.
She believes many people share her gift, but some choose to disconnect at an early age, re-embracing it later in life.
"But, I have never disconnected."
"I know I have a lot to do in this life-time; I don't have time to disconnect."
Following her decade-long stint in hospitality, Cassie completed a Diploma in Human Development externally through a college in the United Kingdom before undertaking a Certificate III in Chakra and Aura Healing.
Last year Cassie returned to the Great Lakes following time spent in Brisbane and established Soulful Harmony, which she described as a service station for the soul.
The business is a holistic health and wellness centre in Tuncurry, offering shamanic healing, meditation classes and tarot readings at the same time selling a range of natural and organic products.

However, Cassie was quick to set the record straight and explained her tarot readings were not a look into the future.
"I am not a physic; I cannot predict the future.
"My belief is that of destiny; we can make choices and we can change our lives."
She said anyone could buy a pack of tarot cards, get a book and learn how to read them.
"Everyone uses the cards differently - I use the cards as a tool."
As a youngster, Cassie was always surrounded by her 'friends'.
These friends are now guiding Cassie on her journey, a journey that she cannot easily explain.
"I have always done this stuff, really since I was born.
"I was guided to return here to bring these services."
Cassie explained a Shaman was an ancient term for a healer who retrieved one's soul and brought it back into alignment.
"Working with the concept of balancing mind, body and soul to achieve overall health and wellbeing, a sharman will tailor healing using techniques and natural options including nutrition, energy healing, mediumship, astrology, anthropology and more.
"Shaman works as a messenger between the spiritual and physical realms."
Catering for all ages, Cassie has plans to introduce meditation classes for youngsters aged from 3-4 years - accompanied by their mums.
To enable the children to completely relax and connect they will be read a story penned by the multi-talented Cassie.
