Held simultaneously at Forster Aquatic Centre in the south and Lismore in the north, the meet saw the times from each venue correlated in order to decide the winners of each division.
Nash Wilkes led the local charge, winning 10 gold medals and setting four new records on his way to being crowned the men's over 17 years age champion.
The Rainbow Flat swimmer was pleased with his performance and believed it was a great way to prepare for the bigger, upcoming events on his calendar.
Chief among these is the School Sports Australia Swimming Championships in July, where he's eyeing off a big result.
"I just want to get the best performance I've ever had in Melbourne," he said.
"It's my first time making it and competing for NSW so I want to do my best."
Training partner Claire Van Kampen also qualified for the championships, and like Nash, she used the weekend's meet as a warm-up.
She won gold in the women's over 17-years 100m and 200m backstroke and also made the podium in a number of other events.
Not to be outdone, youngsters Ethan Hudson and Harrison Tancred engaged in a seesaw battle in the boys' 11-year-old division, with both swimmers claiming gold and silver in a number of races.
Harrison was eventually named age champion for the division.
Ten-year-old Eva Keen also was named age champion in her division, with the Forster swimmer winning an impressive nine races and finishing runner-up in another.
Fellow Forster Aquatic team swimmers Connor Shakespeare, Sophie Scislo, Jesse Wilkes, Dyarna Crupi, Braydan Lee and Emily Rowell claimed medals, with the club also winning a number of relay events.
The club finished fourth in the overall point score for the weekend, behind Coffs Harbour in third, Alstonville in second and Trinity Lismore first.
The meet attracted 154 competitors to the Forster Aquatic Centre, with swimmers seeking qualifying times for the NSW Country, NSW State Age and Australian Open Short Course Championships.
