Eason, a quick stepping representative touch footballer, started the season on the wing and coach Phil Adamson said he has improved with every match.
"Corey had a blinder last week against Wauchope and he's been good the last few games,'' Adamson said.
However, Eason injured his hand against Wauchope, although scans later cleared him of a break. So Adamson had no hesitation in shifting him into the centres for the Sunday's match at the Wingham Sporting Complex.
He'll replace Beau Lowry, who has succumbed to a shoulder injury sustained in the match against the Blues. The Hawks will again be without fullback Keda Moylan, who is also struggling with a shoulder injury and his place this week goes to Aaron Hill, who started the season in the custodian's role. Winston McBride comes into the side on the wing.
Veteran lock Chris 'Backhoe' Simon is another on the casualty list however, Matt Kirkland has recovered from a quadriceps strain and returns to the side.
The game marks the start of the second round in Group Three football and the Hawks are locked with Port Macquarie and Port City on six points, four shy of the third placed Wingham. The two Port sides meet on Saturday.
Forster caused the biggest upset of the season so far in the corresponding first round game when they beat the Tigers in what was an error-marred encounter at Tuncurry. However, they'll meet a Wingham side on Sunday playing confident football on the back of five successive wins.

Adamson said the Hawks have to cut out their errors and build pressure on the opposition. Wauchope won last weekend's encounter 37-12, where Adamson said a poor 20 minutes in the first half, where they leaked 20 points, was pivotal to his side's downfall.
The Hawks had up to seven players selected in the Group Three/Indigenous All Stars game set down for Saturday June 8 at Kempsey. However, this has been scrapped by Group Three following a number of late withdrawals.
Forster's Lyn Eason will coach the Group Three All Stars league tag side against the Indigenous All Stars. This match will be going ahead and will be used as a selection trial for the Group Three league tag team to play in the upcoming Country Championships.
The Tigers currently sit in third place.
