Alby Dean, Steve Pell and Peter Schroeder faced a tough task in the final at Terrigal, coming up against a Windsor team featuring ex-State selector Kevin Smith and two former State representatives.
Their opponents' reputation didn't overawe them, however, with the Forster bowlers taking it right up to them from the start, and were never headed during the game to record a 25-12 win.
The competition started at zone level back in January, and saw the trio come up against teams from as far as Port Macquarie in the north and Bulahdelah in the south.
After winning at zone, the team played off against opposition from the Coffs Harbour and Central Coast zones, before progressing to the State semi-final.
In the semi-final they recorded a comfortable 35-10 win over a team from the Muswellbrook/Singleton zone.
