The resource provides motorcycling enthusiasts with a handy guide to the best rides in the region, taking in coastal routes to wine country roads and beyond.
The publication was a joint effort between Cessnock, Dungog, Maitland, MidCoast and Port Stephens' councils.
"The Hunter is home to some of the most popular motorcycling routes in NSW," MidCoast Council's road safety officer, Chris Dimarco, said.
"We produced Motorcycling the Hunter to support motorcycling, showcase the best routes in the Hunter, and promote safety for all riders. Active riders have been heavily involved in creating this publication, and they told us they wanted to be able to easily access routes wherever they may be."
Mr Dimarco said more than 5000 copies of the publication had been taken up by the motorcycling community since its launch in October, and he hoped the online version would allow even more riders to safely enjoy motorcycling around the region.
"We're particularly keen to expand online information on routes into the Upper Hunter areas of Scone, Singleton and Muswellbrook, as well as Newcastle and Lake Macquarie," he said.
