The collection started in Memorial Drive before weaving its way to the Little Street Baths and Paradise Marina.
Large waste was managed by MidCoast Council and JR Richards, however this awesome group of eco-warriors made a huge impact, organiser Aaron Dodds said.
“Waste is an ugly thing, especially when we are picking other people’s up, so our waterways and marine eco system survive,” he said.
“Huge shout out to the people who were fishing or by-standers picking up the occasional piece of rubbish, every bit of help is amazing.
“Also, great to see a gentle from the UK taking a few photos while we were on the job to share with his waste reduction company in the UK.”
The group’s next community clean up will be held on Wednesday, February 13 from 4pm.
