Following a 12 month stint working as a temporary teacher, Forster Public School has appointed Melea Tyrie to a permanent classroom teacher.
Ms Tyrie has been doing an amazing job making connections with our school community and students, teacher, Anne Evans says.
Melea previously worked in schools throughout the Manning Valley and for the last nine years has been working as a teacher at Chatham Public School.
She brings great experience in organising programs for students, particularly for students from kindergarten to Year 2.
She has trained as a reading recovery teacher and was involved at implementing this program in schools where she has taught.
Melea has a passion for surf life saving and has been involved in many sports from netball, athletics to marathon running.
“We are thrilled to have her on board as a permanent staff member and welcome her to the Forster Public School family.”
