The free road safety event has been orchestrated by organsiers of The Pink Shorts Movement, a group designed to get people talking about safety on the roads.
The organisation was started in honour of Jay, a 17-year-old who died n a car accident on November 11, 2014.
Jay was a passenger in a car driven by a p plate driver who was speeding and under the influence of alcohol.
The essential message of the day is to speak up, take the keys and arrive alive if your driver is being irresponsible.
The community is encouraged to get involved by wearing pink shorts to school, TAFE, work, out and about or to one of the orchestrated events.
