The family friendly 2018 Wingham Akoostik Festival will this weekend entertain visitors and locals with three days of music.
With a reputation for attracting some big name artists in the past, the 2018 line-up won’t disappoint with artists such as Diesel, Dragon, Backsliders, Hat Fitz and Cara, and Grizzlee Train headlining.
The festival will once again take place at the Wingham Showground which offers festival goers on-site camping.
Included over the three day event are workshops, a Smokin the Valley Barbecue Competition, art installations and produce and market stalls catering for all ages and interests.
New this year is the screening of Her Sound, Her Story a film which celebrates women in Australian music.
Singer and choir leader, Rachel Hore OAM will again lead a choir workshop at this years festival.
Rachel’s workshop five years ago at the Akoostik in 2013 was a sellout success.
Who’s on, when:
Friday: Music from 5.45pm. Acts include The Swamp Stompers, Cornstalk and Dragon. Her Sound, Her Story will also be screened.
Saturday: Music all day from 11am – 11pm includes Grizlee Train, Backsliders, Round Mountain Girls and Diesel.
Sunday: Music from 10.30am-4.30pm includes Bill Chambers, Hat Fitz and Cara, Matty Zarb and Mark Oats.
Ticket prices vary depending on one day or three day options.
