With the silly season more than two months away, is it too early for Christmas to make an appearance?
It would seem some chain stores and supermarkets are so excited with the prospect of an early Christmas decorations, cards, trees, fairy lights and festive food are already on the shelves.
But, the outlets seem to have drawn the line at tizzying up their premises with not a drop of tinsel hanging from the ceiling in sight; it is only mid-October.
Judging by basket purchases, a handful of shoppers certainly don’t believe it is too early.
Retailers were reluctant to comment on their early move on Christmas, but were bemused by the GLA’s interest.
