Marine Rescue Forster and Tuncurry has been named among a number of community groups to benefit from $30,000 funding from MidCoast Council’s 2018/19 donation program.
Also on the list of successful candidates for this round of funding are Gloucester Scouts Group, Coopernook Action Group and Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Group.

The funds will go towards a range of projects and initiatives worth $47,579 in total.
“From plants for community gardens, emergency equipment or a healthy eating initiative, funds from the donations program will help positive community projects come to fruition,” council’s coordinator, community strengthening, Lyndie Hepple said.
The annual donations program enables council to assist community groups and organisations to deliver valuable community projects across the region.
Under the program, applicants have the chance to receive up to $2000 for their group or project.
The program is offered on an annual basis and is part of council’s ongoing commitment to building the capacity of our unique, diverse and culturally rich communities .
