Schools from as far north as Crescent Head and as far east as Gloucester travelled to take part in the event, with 16 schools represented by 32 students in the junior and senior categories.
Maxim Ceccato and Olivia Herivel, both in year four, represented Forster Public School in the junior division.
The competition was fierce, going to round nine.
The last two rounds consisted of unseen words that the students were unable to study for.
Olivia was eliminated in round five, while Maxim went on to win the final.
The runner-up for the junior category was Amelia Maddy from Old Bar Public School.
Maxim will represent Forster and the region in Sydney on the November 2, good luck!
In the senior division, Rohan Ward from year five and Dylan Ceccato from year six represented the school.
The increased level of difficulty saw Rohan eliminated in round three of the competition.
Dylan was eliminated in round four.
The senior event went to round eight, which saw one round of unseen words.
The winner of the senior division was Brock Holliday from North Haven Public School, and runner-up was Riane Krautloher from Tinonee Point Public School.
Congratulations and well done to all the students that competed on Tuesday, you represented your schools, parents and yourselves proudly.
