Manning Great Lakes Police District officers are seeking public assistance to identify two men involved in a theft from an oyster shed near Forster.
At about midnight on Friday, August 31, two men entered an oyster shed on Mather’s Island, Wallis Lake where they allegedly stole lengths of timber.
It is believed the men may have been camping on the island.
Rural crime investigators want to speak to people depicted in CCTV images as it is believed they may be able to help with inquiries.
Anyone who may recognise the men depicted in the images is urged to contact Forster Police Station on 6555 1299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The rural crime prevention team takes all crime committed against the aquaculture industry seriously.
They urged farmers and producers to continue to report crime to police.
