Due to the incredible response to HSC study nights held at Forster and Taree Libraries last month, extra free study evenings are scheduled and all MidCoast Libraries will provide free print and photocopy services for HSC students until November 30.
For year 12 students preparing to sit their final exams, a comfortable break-out space away from home is now available at Forster and Taree libraries, on Wednesdays, September 19 and 26 from 5pm to 8pm.
The free study evenings provide HSC students with exclusive after-hours use of both Taree and Forster libraries, as well as free printing and photocopying, Internet computers and wi-fi, and light refreshments.
“Local HSC students have flocked to the study nights this year, so we're happy to provide some more opportunities for them to enjoy exclusive use of the library space,” Chris Jones, MidCoast Council’s libraries manager said. “Our libraries offer a quiet, stress-free environment for both individual study and to meet with friends for group study sessions.”
Students can now access free photocopy and print services until November 30, 2018 at any MidCoast Library with a HSC print card.

"We're introducing HSC print cards, available for use at any of our 11 libraries, for students studying the HSC across the Mid Coast,” Chris said.
"We want to demonstrate our support for young people sitting the HSC, and showing them we care by offering practical help is our way of saying we're proud of all students in our region."
To take advantage of the free study evenings, simply turn up from 5pm, and you can pick up a HSC print card from your school or nearest library.
HSC study evenings have been running in the Mid Coast region since 2011, and are part of MidCoast Libraries’ commitment to supporting students through their final year of high school study.
