One on one demonstrations will be available for interested growers from 11am-12pm, with growers from across the region invited to try the new app for themselves.
Developed by Matt Toan to suit industry needs, the web-based management system has been road tested by a number local growers already and found to suit a broad range of farming methods and business sizes.
Oyster Cloud tracks stock movements and provides other useful outputs and reports for growers to monitor.
Estuary and marine officer, Brian Hughes said supporting innovation in all types of farming is important to Hunter Local Land Services.
“The development of Oyster Cloud is a great example of local producers adopting technology to maximise their business outcomes and better understand how environmental conditions and their own processes affect production,” Mr Hughes said.
“This app is easy to use and has already been adopted by other local growers.
“This management tool is one of a suite of commercial tools already available to the oyster industry.”
Oyster producers are encouraged to contact Brian Hughes on 0428293021.
