The group, which also includes Taree musicians Mitchell Brown, Hannah Hartup and Riley Brown will perform at St. John’s Anglican Church in Taree on Sunday, July 29.
The concert will kick off at 3pm, with tickets currently on sale for $15 each available at Bass ‘n’ BLues Music.
The group will combine with the Manning Valley Concert Band for the final three items of the concert.
The following Monday, the group will be conducting workshops in Tuncurry for school-age musicians, to encourage young musicians from the area to audition to join the band’s ranks.
The Hunter Wind Ensemble is a young group of dynamic musicians come from state schools from the Central Coast through to the Manning Valley.
They regularly perform at the Sydney Opera House and tour internationally every two years.
They have been the national B grade band champions three years in a row, an impressive achievement as the youngest members are 10 years old.
Money raised by the fundraising events will go towards a band tour tour of central Australia in April 2019, where the group will perform in remote and regional areas.
