
Great Lakes College Forster Campus will play Bellingen High School for a spot in the round of 16 in the Bill Turner Trophy competition on Friday, (June 29).
The event, for female players aged 15 years and under, will take place at Connell Park, Bellingen at 11am.
Meanwhile, in the Lower North Coast Bill Turner Cup area final, Great Lakes College Forster Campus’ boys team will take on McKillop College Port Macquarie on Wednesday, June 27 at 11am at Boronia Park, Forster.
The winner will play St John Paul College from Coffs Harbour in the round of 32 at time, date and venue to be advised.
The boys’ Bill Turner Cup and girls’ Bill Turner Trophy events are regarded as some of the largest sports team competitions in the world, with 850 school teams from QLD, Northern NSW, NSW, ACT and Vic participating in the tournament.
There are 450 boys and 400 girls teams entered in 2018.
The Bill Turner Trophy will celebrate 28-years of continuous operation and the Bill Turner Cup, which was first contested in 1979 in Northern NSW will celebrate its 40th continuous year of operation.
The top four schools from the Cup’s 450 and Trophy’s 400 schools will contest the National Finals Series at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility at Speers Point in September.
