Forster blogger and occupational therapist, Deb Hopper has followed a successful Mid Coast Business Awards with a number two ranking in the top 10 Australian kids blogs and websites in 2018.
Deb, who works at Life Skills 4 Kids said was thrilled with the news.
“We are so passionate about supporting both the local families and children we work with, but we also have a vision for helping families nationally and internationally through our blog and website, www.lifeskills4kids.com.au,” she said.
The best Australian kids blogs are chosen from thousands of blogs on the web using search and social metrics.
“Being recognised as a top 10 blog in Australia is so humbling, it makes all the hard work feel like it’s paid off,” Deb contuinued.
“It takes time to craft a good blog.
“I really enjoy the creative outlet of writing, it helps me process the information I’ve learnt through attending professional workshops.
“I love being able to simplify it and make helpful tips available for both parents and professionals through the blog.”
This recognition follows Deb’s success at the Mid Coast business awards in early May, where she and the Life Skills 4 Kids team received three awards.
The team won the excellence in health and well-being award, were highly commended in professional services, and runner up for business of the year award.
“Being recognised for doing an excellent job feels great of course, but our top priority is to help children and families on the ground from week to week,” Deb said.
“The role of parents and carers of children with a disability is tiring and unrelenting.
"The least our team can do is support them in developing practical skills for life for their children, whether we are doing this face to face through therapy services, or remotely through sharing practical information through blogs.”
