The local member, along with Minister Responsible for Volunteering, Ray Williams today, May 30 visited Bulahdelah Country Women’s Association (CWA) last Wednesday, May 30 to recognise the group’s remarkable volunteering activity.
Mr Bromhead presented the branch with $3000 to assist with purchasing a freezer and sewing machine.
“From providing social connections, to fundraising for local facilities, volunteers from the Bulahdelah branch are an integral part of our local community.”
Mr Williams praised the branch’s volunteers for their generous efforts that assist others.
“Volunteers of Bulahdelah CWA make an important contribution to the community and it has been a privilege meeting members of the branch today,” Mr Williams said.
“The NSW Government is committed to supporting volunteers and volunteer organisations.”
Bulahdelah CWA is one of 400 branches across NSW that work to improve the lives of women and their families in rural NSW.
Since launching the strategy in 2016, the NSW Government has developed online resources to assist volunteer organisations, enhanced the recognition of volunteers throughout NSW and launched a new volunteer recruitment portal to make finding volunteer roles even easier.
