Once again the Coomba community and other visitors ‘raised their cups’ at the 19th annual Biggest Morning Tea, raising $3933 for the NSW Cancer Council.
From the tally, $600 was from donations and $3233 from the raffles and gold coin donations for cups of tea/coffee, and the new feature, silent auction for a number of unique items, which raised $325.
An enjoyable interlude included a special bush poem by resident bush poet extraordinaire Ken Filby and rollicking singalong’with John Coles and Co.
Organisers thanked the many businesses for their continuing support and volunteers for the donations of goods, cash and delectable food for the morning tea plus all their help and support in the many roles that make this a continuing success.
