Students and a teacher from Forster Public School have taken the plunge, shaving their heads for the World’s Greatest Shave.
Teacher, Donna Jones and students, Dylan Cary and Alfie Oxenbould took part in the initiative with help from hairdressers from Tuncurry,'Snips.'
“Thank you to all the Forster Public School’s children and families who brought in a donation for our World’s Greatest Shave,” teacher, Anne Evans said.
“The inspiration for the day came from Year 5 student, Arthur.
“His Oma, Donna, was undergoing treatment for leukaemia, so he wanted to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation and approached Forster Public School to help him.”
The school also managed to raise over $2500 by virtue of a crazy hair day.
“The children and staff had a great day and looked awesome,” Anne added.
“The best part of the day was the hair-shaving of Alfie, Dylan and Mrs Jones.
“The school thanks the boys and Mrs Jones for their contribution and courage to help raise a great deal of money for the Leukaemia Foundation.”
