This service is available to all MidCoast Council residents who currently receive a domestic waste and recycling collection service.
Two types of waste will be accepted, and should be presented for collection in two separate piles:
One pile is for scrap metal like old pushbikes, empty paint tins with lids removed, and whitegoods with doors removed.
All scrap metal collected will be recycled.
A separate pile is for general bulky waste like broken furniture, small appliances and bric-a-brac.
Everything you place out for collection in your general waste pile will be sent to landfill, so please consider what you're putting out.
If any item is in working order and can be re-used by someone else, try finding it a new home instead.
Offer it to a friend or neighbour, or try selling it or giving it away online through sites like Gumtree or Buy Swap 'n Sell.
Collections will kick off on Monday 30 April.
