A plea by Manning-Great Lakes Police District to drivers to slow down and travel safely during the school holidays has fallen on deaf ears – at least for one driver.
On the afternoon of April 10 police randomly stopped a Hyundai sedan on The Lakes Way at Tiona.
The 50-year-old female driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.
The driver was taken to Forster Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis indicated that she was over the blood alcohol limit.
The driver charged with mid range prescribed concentration of alcohol and her license was suspended.
She will appear in Forster Local Court in early May.
