Club Forster Bluewater Fishing Club held their monthly fishing competition off shore of Forster on April 14-15.
There were just five boats taking part in the event as conditions weren’t as great as the fishermen would have liked.
The club holds competitions on the third weekend of each month from 12am on Friday to 12pm on the Sunday. Weigh-in is adjacent to the Forster boat ramp once the fishing segment of the competition closes.
A monthly prize presentation is held with lunch at Club Forster at 2.30pm once the weigh-in is complete.
This month, the largest flathead was caught by Scott Hetherington, weighing in at 1.155kg.
The largest nnapper was snagged by Jeff Coote, weighing .708kg, and Martyn Barry claimed the largest trag which weighed 1.876kg.
The largest other species caught was a pearl perch John Dory weighing 1.280kg, caught by Martyn Barry.
All up, eight members took part in the competition, with a total of 74 fish caught.
