Forster croquet club is holding a “croquet in the pink” gala day on April 21 to raise money for the McGrath Foundation, to support the amazing work they do placing breast care nurses in communities across Australia.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women in this country, with around 17,500 women and 150 men diagnosed every year.
Many club members have been directly affected by this dreadful disease, and now the club as a whole wants to do something to help.
The club invites members of other croquet clubs and the community to join them in a fun day which will raise funds to make life a little bit easier for the individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer.
On Saturday, April 21 the club will be transformed into a pink zone, with a number of competitions, raffles and novelty games.
The club has voted to donate the green fees and catering profits to the McGrath foundation, and urges its members and guests to dig deep for this very worthwhile cause.
