FlyPelican CEO, Paul Graham said the event will be an unofficial launch of sorts.
“We didn’t have a big launch when we started out here because we put in an interim service before Rex finished up, so tonight is to get ourselves out there, to let the community know about our services,” he said.
“This will be a chance to chat to some of the local businesses and hopefully get more people on board so we can continue to expand, hopefully after Easter It’ll be down to business.
“We’ve already got three extra return services a week, and we’ve got some better time slots in Sydney which will mean better flight times. The 5.40am service will become 6am, and that 20 minutes makes a big difference.
“The community response has been positive so far, there are some of the timing issues, which are out of our hands because it all depends on the slots we can get in Sydney.
“There has been a lot of positive feedback about flight prices, we are able to provide some great deals, but it’s important to book early where you can. If you know you are going to be travelling, hop online and get the cheaper flights early.”
The meet and greet event will run from 5.30pm at Taree airport, where business travellers have been invited to go along to find out more about the service and discuss how FlyPelican can meet the on-going needs of the local business community.
