The rain held off for a very successful family day for the “Men of League” race meeting held on Saturday (March 10) at the Tuncurry track.

A crowd of over 2000 enjoyed the activities and refreshments on offer with record drink sales.
Former footballers, Terry Randall, Noel Cleal, Ziggy Niszczot, Ian Martin and Dennis Tutty signed autographs, gave footballs away and conducted the pass the ball competition for the kids.
Racing took center stage with local trainer Terry Evans winning race four with Ticket to Fly which paid $3.20 for a win. He also scored a third place in race two with Twelfth Raj.
Jockey Belinda Hodder took the riding honours winning the book-ends race one on Artella and race six on Flick Pass.
The next race meeting is the “The Pearl” sprint on Friday, September 7.
