The 2018 V-Sport NSW Rallysprint Series will begin at the Nabiac Motorsport Complex on Sunday, February 18.
The event, hosted by the Central North Coast Sporting Car Club, will see crews tackle a seven kilometre gravel course one minute apart.
They will get six runs, three in each direction.
There are currently 45 confirmed starters, with competitors to come from Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Central Coast and Sydney.
Some of the top teams in the State will be taking part, including Michael South and Justin Goodried in their Subaru WRX STI, Richard Shimmon and Katie Fletcher in their Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VII, JJ Hatton and Steve Fisher in their Mitsubishi EVO IX and Gloucester’s Andrew and Jessica Maurer in their Mitsubishi EVO VI.
Wingham driver Jamie Lulham will keep the two wheel drive competitors honest in a Toyota Corolla.
A plethora of local talent will also take to the course.
Central North Coast Sporting Car Club president Grant McQuillan said the track committee has spent a lot of time over the last few months to create the course.
“With some major improvements and changes to the Nabiac course, it is sure to challenge the crews and provide plenty of action for spectators.
“Lots of work has been put in by the track committee.
“It will be more technical in places,” Mr McQuillan said.
He added that several drivers will use the event to test their cars for the seven stage series.
Racing will begin at 9am.
Entry is free for spectators and canteen facilities will be available.
