Crowds lined the streets, and shouted their pride from apartment balconies as local members of the Queen’s Baton Relay made their way through the streets of Tuncurry and Forster.
The overcast skies and cooler temperatures didn’t little to deter the enthusiasm of proud Great Lakes residents and visitors.
By the time the baton arrives on the Gold Coast in early April it will have been carried by 470 battonbearers in NSW alone, traversed more than 40,000 kilometres throughout Australia in 100 days.
