In Kempsey, roads including Smith Street will be closed between 11.45am and 1.15pm.
West Kempsey: Sea, Marsh, Tozer and Elbow Streets.
Kempsey: Belgrave, Clyde, Forth, Smith, John and Verge Streets.
The relay will travel from the Riverina to the Central West, the state’s North and North Coast before heading to the Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney, the Illawarra and South Coast.
The event will be in Macksville, Kempsey and Forster/Tuncurry on Friday, February 2.
A Transport Management Centre spokesperson said road closures in most towns would be in place for around an hour and would be progressively lifted as the relay moved through the streets.
“Motorists are advised to expect delays while the roads are closed, allow extra travel time and follow any detours,” the spokesperson said.
Twelve community representatives from the Hastings have been named in the Mid-North Coast contingent to participate in the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay.
