The monthly event – September to May – is a far cry from the first market on Easter Sunday 1991 in the park near Black Head Lagoon.
The event attracted just eight stalls and the organisers make a profit of $30.
The market slowly grew and spread to the eastern end, and later to the western end, of Wylie Breckenridge Park.
It is one of the most popular community markets in both the Great Lakes and Manning Valley.
