For many years now, the tradition of MidCoast Council staff gathering in the council's Forster office foyer, instruments in hand, to sing carols as a thank you to our community has been a huge success.

Greatly supported by members of the community, each year, more than 100 people have packed into the foyer to share in the spirit of Christmas, share some cheer, sing carols and have fun at the year's end.
For the first time this year several musicians who regularly play at the annual event are away on the last working day before Christmas, leaving a giant hole in music-making ability.
But council’s Forster staff don’t give up easily!
A special invitation has been extended to everyone to drop by the Forster office at 9am this Friday, December 22 where – no matter what – there will be a performance of Christmas carols accompanied by the voices of council staff.
For many years the crowd has been delighted by the performance from Kids Musik with Janelle.
Janelle has stepped up with an expanded repertoire from her talented protégés.
Thanks to Janelle and other community minded performers working with council there will be carols, special items and the Kids choir.
Also, word has come that a very special visitor for the children is still able to attend and will bring some lolly bags in keeping with tradition.
Everyone is invited - bring your friends, family and especially children - and your best singing voice!
