They’ve released new music, written some more, toured around, and moved home to the Great Lakes after a a six year stint in Brisbane.
The self-confessed “surfer guys” have been pumping out the tunes for a few years now, and are looking forward to playing local festival Grown Your Own, for the second consecutive year.
We are happy fun guys, and we want to have fun and for the audience to have fun with us.

“There’s only a couple of local bands playing, so we’re pretty stoked about that,” Pat said.
“Last year it was sick, so much fun. It really felt like a festival rather than a big concert organised at home. All our mates and family got to it so it was great.”
“Yeah, the line up is crazy this year,” Adam added.
Since moving home in February, The Ruiins have been touring to promote their latest single, Love Can Start a War, and have also found time to slip into the studio to record new music.
It’s been a busy year for the boys, but they aren’t about to slow down now.
“We’re planning on releasing an EP before the end of the year, and then we want to get back in the studio and record another one,” Pat said.
“We haven’t even released our first one yet but we want to get onto the second one.
“It’s been a long time coming, we’ve been singing these songs for a year and a half.”
“We’ve recorded a lot of demos, but never actually got them out yet, so its pretty exciting. We have a lot of other songs now because it’s taken so long, so we want to get them all out too,” Adam said.
“We’ll just head back into the studio, more tours and more music.”

The past couple of years of playing shows around the country has enabled the boys to develop their music style to reflect their relaxed, happy personalities, and above all, make people dance.
“I guess we’ve changed our sound a little, now we are a bit more upbeat, we like to make fun music,” Adam said.
“We decided after playing shows for a few years that we really liked seeing people dancing and having fun, so we started making music that lets people dance and enjoy it.”
“Adam started out singing and on guitar and I played drums, then eventually we went back to our original instruments, he was originally a drummer and I was a guitarist, so that kind of changed our sound I guess,” Pat added.
“We are happy fun guys, and we want to have fun and for the audience to have fun with us.
“It’s a crazy great job when you get to play shows with new bands that we’ve never met before, and meeting new artists.
“You make lots of friends, that’s the thing we look forward to the most, aside from the actual getting to play live.”
