But, that time’s been long enough to sell her on the district’s sandy shores and wonderful weather.
Coming to the Great Lakes fresh from the super-speed Sydney scene, Kim quickly became accustomed to, and enjoyed slowing down to the pace of country-coastal living.
“I actually chose the Great Lakes and moved up from Sydney because I got a job up here,” she said.
“Now I really love the area.”
Kim has a busy working life at the Forster hospital as a nurse, but enjoys making time to relax, exercise and getting into the community spirit.
“I really enjoy Fay Shacklock’s taekwondo classes, I always make sure I have time to attend them every Thursday morning,” she said.
“It’s hard to get out there and do things with shift work, but the classes have so many health benefits I always try to get to them.”
She hasn’t been here long, but Kim has become quite attached to the small town vibe.
“There is a great community up here, a sense of commendatory,” she said.
