Drone photographer Dean Stevens has been shocked at the large numbers of sharks he has been recording across the Great Lakes recently.

In recent weeks large numbers of sharks have been witnessed feeding on huge bait balls.
Late last month some amazing footage emerged of a shark being wrestled back into the ocean at Tuncurry.
Beaches have been closed and events cancelled - the Forster Tuncurry Boardriders (FBI) committee elected to postpone their October competition.
Dean Stevens is a chef at Club Forster and he has heard the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) shark surveillance chopper out and about patrolling local beaches.
He shared his footage and some photos with the Great Lakes Advocate – watch the video package below:
He has been developing an interest in drone photography as a hobby he and his friend (who has Multiple Sclerosis) can enjoy together.
“Every morning I heard helicopters flying over with alarms so I thought I would investigate. Me and my mate Mick Spurr counted a total of 38 sharks.”
“I never expected to find a school of sharks just behind the breakers at North One Mile. At least four of them were riding the waves.”
Shane Chalker’s image of a giant school of bait fish at the entrance to Wallis Lake was featured in the national media recently.
Although he has lived by the ocean his entire life he says he has never seen anything like it.
