The program is designed for girls aged between five and 11 to be introduced to football and further grow participation.
It uses short, game-based sessions to introduce the sport of football to newcomers in a fun and inclusive way and provides grassroots football participants with more playing options and opportunities to try football.
The program has been developed in line with the game-sense philosophy of sport participation. This approach moves away from traditional coach dominated sessions to those that are player-centred, using game-like situations rather than technical drills.
The non-competitive activities are designed to improve confidence and self-esteem.
Participants must ether wear football boots or joggers/sandshoes. Shin pads are compulsory. The first session will be held at Boronia Park, Forster between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
