The college display was inspired by the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red exhibition mounted in the moat of the Tower of London commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of World War I.
Made by Year 7 students over a three week period, the circular garden has 600 poppies, representing every pupil at the school.
“It’s to respect the soldiers that fought for us,” Chloe Tattersall said.
“My great great great uncle fought in Gallipoli,” she proudly said.
Teacher, Sally Edwards said the display gave students an idea of what Anzac Day was all about,
“It gives them a visual, “ she said.
“It shows the reality of war and what the poppies represent.”
