For the last seven years I’ve taken my vintage race boats to the gathering of vintage boats as part of the Forster family weekend in July.

Now for some reason the Progress Association has decided to cut out the boating side saying that the weekend needs to be family oriented.
Last year 10,500 people came over the two days not only to see markets and old cars but action on the water and a a large collection of Australia’s maritime history.
Also the people who were to attend now have lost financially as accommodation deposits are not refundable in most cases.
Thanks to the blind decisions of the committee .
The weekend may fail.
I myself have spend a significant amount tiding up my two boats all for nothing now.
Thanks Progress Association.
