The boat had just enter the harbour when it started to take on water.
With a growing danger of being fully submerged, the services pumped out the water to great success.
The boat was eventually moved into the Tuncurry slipway to receive repairs.
The rescue coincided with the Marine Rescue’s Water Safety Day held at the Rescue Base in Forster.
The event saw agencies such as the State Emergency Service, Rural Fire Service and the Surf Live Saving Club present demonstrations and mock rescues to the public.
The day was designed to give information and a warning to the public about water safety over the summer holiday period.
The Marine Rescue Service understands that people visiting the region for the holidays may not been equipped with the necessary features to avoid an accident on the water.
The Rescue Service is urging anyone to volunteer for the organisation as new members are always welcome.
