According to publicity officer Helen Ellis, the club has had a busy year on the course undertaking tree trimming, a controlled back-burn, while numerous plants and native shrubs have been planted into the newly formed gardens and surrounds.
“Many thanks our band of volunteers,” Helen said.
She said all the work had been completed in time for the spring/ summer golf season leading to the women’s closing events for the year on November 30
“Our Saturday ladies and Budding Birdies will celebrate a break up party on Saturday, December 10.
“Our terrific president, Marie Smith, retires at the end of this year after three years leading the ladies committee, and I have received numerous donations for our golf events from the local businesses of Tuncurry.
