When contacted by the Great Lakes Advocate staff declined to comment and referred questions to the education department.
A representative from the department issued the following response via email:
* Students were kept in class as a precaution at five past two this afternoon after a student became agitated and refused to follow direction from a staff member in their office.
* The student became calmer and left the school shortly after ten past two, when classes were allowed out.
* Nobody was hurt and no other students were involved in the incident.
* The school advised police, and disciplinary action has been taken.
