The event is being held outside the local control tower with information stalls offering up-to-date information on Customs, the Maritime Service, Surf Life Saving Australia and NSW Marine Rescue.
Local Marine Rescue Unit Commander Dennis Travers said everyone is invited to attend to learn more about these vital services.
The open day kicked off at around 10 am and will wrap up at 1pm with a sausage sizzle available.
